David Cross has focused on investigating the relationship between the body, pleasure, the grotesque and the phobic. He works across a variety of media and strategies (often in a single installation) including large scale photographic prints, video, and inflatable sculpture. He has worked extensively with performance and duration and their relationship to the body. Cross is an Associate Professor at the School of Fine Arts, Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand.
